Staff
Our staff are our main asset. In fact, the majority of our senior translators have been with Prysg for over ten years.
Most of our translators work in-house on a full-time basis. This is of benefit to the client as it enables the translators to start working on a project as soon as a job request is confirmed and also allows the team to draw on each other's experience and expertise from being under the same roof.
Great emphasis is placed on training and development which is crucial in terms of fulfilling staff potential and progressing within the company. In 2001 we were the first translation company in Wales to be awarded the prestigious Investors in People award and we continue to work to that standard.
Our longstanding training programme allows individuals to reach their full potential but, importantly, the training never truly stops as everyone continues to learn and develop in their day-to-day work. Annual staff appraisals and individual training plans also complement this approach. Flexible working is considered on an individual basis - our IT systems allow for 'remote' working - and the company also offers a personal pension scheme and health plan to benefit its staff.
Of course, work isn't everything. There are regular nights out and different charities are supported throughout the year e.g. Children in Need and Macmillan. And, due to the number of budding bakers at Prysg, a Baking Club has been established which is very popular!
The company recruits regularly and welcomes applications from students looking for work experience or anyone who is eager to change their career path.
